Esc wont work after installing mod

I have installed a mod  and all was fine, than i wanted to add a licence plate to the vehicle and save, re-zipped and added to my mods folder. Load the game fine, but when i hit the esc key it does nothing. to exit i have to hit alt+f4 which doesn't save the game. Please help.

no errors. I made a .i3d file that is the licence plate. I have attached my work to this post. The mod is Spreader Kenworth from BigCountry, LMS 2014. I just repainted it and added the licence plate, the rest of the work was done by him.

There is a tut on this site on how to add name and other decals to a vehicle. This is where you can find out what step you did wrong...

my problem is fixed, uninstalled the game, reinstalled and ran ccleaner
