« on: August 05, 2014, 08:50:01 PM »
so I'm trying to change the window tint on a mod. I go to the layer properties and change the opacity to be darker. Then when I go to giants editor I cant look out the windows its just pure black. any help would be appreciated. I'm using paint.net also

Did you save the file as a DXT1 or a DXT3?

If you save as a DXT3, the window will be transparent. If you save as a DXT1, it will be opaque.

That's a little different than his situation from what I can tell.

I think he already had a transparent glass pane, but when he saved the file after editing the texture in Paint.net, it lost its transparency.

Didn't sound like there were any GE adjustments involved.

Its hard.  I have my trucks with light tint in the front and dark in the rear and it always messes up.
