Idaho, USA v1.1 - Timber Edition

http://www.americaneaglesmodding.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=911

This is the Idaho map with provisions for the new forestry logging mod.

It is exactly the same as the v1.1, but the entire southeast corner up on the mountain has been redone into a logging area.

In addition, the existing BGA plant has installed additional buildings that will accept wood chips for heat generation and a storage for extra wood chips.  A sawmill has been built on the small road leading towards the radio mast in the south of the map.

Some new logging roads have been created as well.

Of course, you must have the forstmod file in your mods directory (with the original name, e.g. "aForestMod" for this part of the map to function properly.

Credits to rafftnix, BM Modding, Vertexdesign, fruktor, fendt2000, MadMax for the forestry mod.

Yes.  I have looked at it and I know what the problem is.  At the moment, I am waiting on a fix from the mod creator.  Once I get it, then the silo on the second farm should function normally in MP.  (e.g. display the correct values "(l)2000, rather than "20000", and be able to fill from it during MP sessions.)

With all the work that needs to be done on the farms and fields not sure I have time for the forest mod portion but am downloading it to try. Love your maps Blueweb and again thanks to you and all the modders who do this kind of work. I have tried GE editor and keep it up to date but have trouble understanding how to use it and yes have seen all the videos.

This is my first mod downloaded from this site and i am finding the size and layout perfect, however on trying to unload grass or straw into the yard silos the trailers just drop to zero without any increase in the silos themselves and the trailer still shows a full fill plane. Any thoughts as i have played multiple maps without this problem using the same mods i am using just now.

Thanks in advance

I have unloaded straw and grass both at the yard silos. All though you have done so before with the same mods ,you could still have a mod conflict. Also make sure you have the latest patch from Giants.

Is there any way to transfer over a savegame that has your vehicles, money, silo levels, field status' and what not to the new version? I don't want to restart.  :(

Great map , the logging equipment is junk, I know you didn't make that great  job, hoping someone will make some more logging stuff :)

The steps were mentioned in the non-timber thread, but there will be slight differences on this one.

-Start a new save game and save it
-Copy over your career, economy, and vehicle XML files from your existing save game that you use
-In the career.xml file, update the map name in the two locations to reflect the timber version
-In the economy file, you will need to delete the field 38 line since that no longer exists. My game still didn't want to start at this point, so I think I ended up copying all items except the auction related lines, then it worked.

You won't be able to keep your field statuses, though some other maps have another file that makes that possible. I typically harvest everything then start the new map version, but since I don't like to have all of my fields planted, I just remove the crops in GE that I own, and possibly a couple of others that I plan on owning in the near term, otherwise you will start how blueweb saved it.

Haven't tried the timber edition just yet, really like the original version of this map. Great work! Does the forest mod and this edition of the map work with MR?

Is there a way to turn the field limit on permanently? Whenever my hired plow gets done it kicks out and plows a spot outside the border.

Every field. I have courseplay but Im not using it. No autotractor, only autocombine. Its the MR johndeere field cultivator, the 5 section and 3 section.

there was a another map that was giving the same problem and the fix for that was to work the field once yourself then the Hired will work the field just fine. try that it could solve the problem for you

It does fine while working. It just automatically turns on when you take over for hired worker or as soon as hired worker is done. If I leave cultivator parked on grass lowered in the ground, there will be a plowed spot when I come back to it.

* now i feel like an idiot now   i didn't notice till now what u were asking about... :-[.   i cant believe it....    now the question i should have asked is it a mod plow/cultivator?

and i don't think there is a way to my knowledge.        i haven't had that issue  b4 but then i don't put it n the lower pos.    as for the Limit mine is always on <really bad at straight lines>

I love your Idaho map to begin with, and a timber edition makes it even more awesome. I was just wondering on the previous Idaho map, the hired helpers did not properly detect the boundaries of the field. Has this been updated in this version? Please don't think I am complaining. I really appreciate your hard work.

Edit - I am a big dummy. I did not realize you had released a new version of the original map with the boundaries fixed. My apologies. Thanks again for the great map.
