Straw plane help
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:39:04 PM »
Hey guys I'm working on a map and the straw plane for the cow zone is giving me fits. No matter where I put it in ge it's always 15 feet in the air. I've tried placing it ground level I've tried 10 feet below ground level but in game it's still floating in the air above the roof of the shed. Anybody know what I'm missing here?

No I did not and that's probably my problem. Wasn't aware of that since I normally do not fool with animals in a map. Thanks slopoke will give that a try and see what happens.

Sorry for invading this topic but this advice actually fixed a different issue I was having with the strawPlane. I never once thought this could be the problem.  :-[

Thanks slopoke7166.

just remember when moving the strawPlanes, to move the entire transform group the actual plane is in. also if you expand the TG to look at the actual plane, make sure the translate X Y Z  and rotate X Y Z is set to zero.

PS. place the tg at the height you want, this # will be your Max. Then lower it to just under ground, this is the Min.  reset it back to your max setting and then in the userAttributes scroll down to 'strawPlaneMinMaxY' and enter your new #'s. then save map.

Ok the height issue I think is fixed, the actual piles y values were causing the problems. Now I have not been able to locate the min and max values. With the straw planes tg selected the user attributes window doesn't show a min or max. All that it's showing is name, then add new attribute, name again and type. Any guidance on this?

You have to click and highlight the cowsHusbandry and the strawPlaneMinMaxY values will be in the User Attributes. You just have to scroll down a bit.
