adding wings to the 2410 to make it a 5 section machine

i have attempted it a few times now and can not seem to get it to work all I can ever get to show in game is the 3 wings have tried a few different things but nothing seems to work for me I added the wings in GE but wont show in the game if any one can help that would be awesome

It is being attempted for this mod and the Case 500t along with the Bourgault seeder.

So far a four joint flex dose not seam to want to work as easily as the three fold flex.
Not that that was all that easy to do.
I have not giving up on the Five fold 500T, but I need learn more and keep trying different things till I finally get lucky.

Anyway, just adding the extra folds in GE without indexing everything acordly in the XML will not work at all.

I have adjusted things in the xml file but it just royal messes things up in the game. its gotta be possible cause I see others with it. is there a way I can take the flex outta it and have it the same as the bourgault one?

No you don't.

You see some of use that have it working 70% but soon as we fold it up it goes nuts. So no.
It not working yet completely.

As soon as we get our 2210 home I'm going to make a proper five section.

Hi, did you guys ever get anywhere with this?  I know this is an old topic, but I was looking through the forum for a tutorial or something, since I have no idea how to do any of this stuff.

Here is a working Five wide 2410 XML.

IF you understand GE and indexing, and creating new addition components then you SHOULD be able to copy the GE placements of all parts.
Skill level medium.
NOT FOR BEGAINERS!!!!

Yeah, I beat you to it, but it still will not be easy for folks.
I'll be uploading the five wide 500T once i get time get the Rams animated. Spring is here and time is not lately.

ok I used your xml and added the parts however when I buy it it is spinning like a tornado.
The only thing I can think of is that I don't have the extra joints for the wings in the right places parts 3-0-12 and 2-0-12? any help would be great.

Check your collision mask setting. {Dynamic 2002}
They should be EXACTALY the same as the other parts from the First fold.
Also make sure your screen graph look EXACTALY like the image above.

Also when you Copied the first fold you copied the partent. You need to copy the internal wing, [child] and make it your parent component] this will have no box collision.
See images below.

The images below shows you how that collision is not in the outside wing. When folded those collision hit each other and will cause your issue.

hey I downloaded the new xml and got the scenegraph to look exactly like yours in the pictures but when I try and buy it in the game, the game crashes. I checked my log and it says error index out of range. Is there other things I have to change in GE to get it to work ? To add the wings I duplicated the folding left then cut the wing left and then deleted the parent file named folding left.

Post your log XML.
Take screen shot of your screen graph showing the parent [component] and first child index exploded and i will try show you the mistake.
If i can.
If multiple indexes, just one fully exploded pic for each parent index.

Parent index means in this case component IE, 0> 0r 1>pulse.
first child would be >1 or master component index.

i had issues of the cultivator going nuts when folding up, what i didn't was scaled the inner wings up slightly so that when the outter wings folded in then up with the inner wings they wouldn't collide with the main frame collision.

Need to see GE screen shot.

Take screen shot of your screen graph showing the parent [component] and first child index exploded and i will try show you the mistake.
If i can.
If multiple indexes, just one fully exploded pic for each parent index.

Parent index means in this case component IE, 0> 0r 1>pulse.
first child would be >1 or master component index.
Modify message

Well since Albert posted my XML and .i3d, not sure...won't happen again, you should be aware that I made th side wings smaller, adjusted the rotation node height and imported new Collisions for the smaller wings so they don't collide when folding.

Why doesn't someone just post the link the a working five section 2410?  I don't care if people post it or share it, I just don't want it uploaded to the downloads because It's not the real one.

I have mine working and don't mind sharing it.
The only thing is that it don't look as good as Lindbejb's does,
since it's his version of the xml I need his permission to post a link to it.

I only posted the XML cause as Fraser said above he what he said when I PM'd him for permissions as I told you I would.
I sheared XML, for those with the skill to do the GE stuff themselves.
