adding fruits in grain storage
« on: August 01, 2020, 04:26:33 PM »
hello to all:

 i have a few grain storages on the map. the grain storage contains just  the basic fruits. but i like to add fruits like cotton, triticale, spelt,  rye and so on. can i just go into the xml files and add them with the other grains and they will show up or is there any other steps that i need to take for  them show up and  function. by the way. why have a discharge chute  if nothing will come out when i drive a grain truck over the trigger point. i thought the one reason i have grain storage  is to move grain from one storage unit to another. dumping one unit and fill another one.

Yes, the xml file for the storage. There are 2 places in the xml file that needs to be added to.
<specs>
            <capacity>750000</capacity>
            <fillTypes>wheat barley canola maize oat sunflower soybean blackbean tobacco peanut sorghum corn2 sudangrass hemp</fillTypes>
        </specs>

<storages>
        <storage node="0|2" fillTypes="wheat barley oat maize canola sunflower soybean sorghum blackbean corn2 sudangrass tobacco peanut hemp" capacityPerFillType="1750000"/>
    </storages>

No, you have to open the map02.xml. In that file you have all the triggers listed and add the crops you want to the end.

<tipTrigger index="FARM_SILO_5" stationName="FarmSilo5" appearsOnPDA="false" isAreaTrigger="true" isSellingPoint="false" triggerWidth="3" supportsExtension="true" storageRadius="100" >

<fillType name="rye"     priceScale="0" supportsGreatDemand="false" disablePriceDrop="true" />

</tipTrigger>
 Copy the last line and insert just above the</tipTrigger> and change the fillType name to the one you want to add.

You have to go into map with GE and add the crop to fill trigger. I open the map with notepad ++ and go to bottom of page and scroll up until you find storage. onCreate and add the crop with the others.
