Apart from you having the wrong aircraft as Windows background ..  :P

Try uninstalling again - this time also delete the file at the end of the path you received in the error message ..

Further you could download (and install) CCleaner (formerly known as "CrapCleaner") this is a kind of utility tool (like a Swiss Knife is a must for older people ..  *facepalm*) that DOESN'T do any harm, but helps you clean out your system - in places you never would find on your own .. Has been using CCleaner for many, many, MANY years - and can't really live without it anymore .. Don't pay for it - just use the free edition - it's good enough for private users ..

Tom Cat

that airplane was good to me!

i uninstalled and tried the program you mentioned.  the problem I was waving (unless I was looking in the wrong place) There is no "appdata" folder in my computer let alone the end file.

the fresh install has the same error

Oh ..

Of course - the appdata folder is hidden - you must select "show hidden files/folders" in the menu of the "pathfinder - File explorer ??" My windows is in another language, so don't know what the file handling system is called in the English Windows version   ???

The main trick is to remove ALL references to the previous install of the program - this includes the program, the program folder (and/or subfolders) and all other references - in this case, the appdata subfolder, that contains the ruined XML file .. When all this is done, you run the CCleaner, and do a scan of the REGISTER data base - cleaning out all references to the program from Windows Register Data Base .. You could do this by using the Reg_Edit program build in to Windows - but it takes forever to do it manually ..  :-\
