i might have gotten the map mixed up. I went in and redid the season edit so the trees are back in because i use another version of the map.. i am still trying to work out other kinks that i see people are having issues with. i have not just stop working i am still getting after it.. Thanks for your input on errors.

this version the white texture should be gone for the ferty and lime.. etc..

Remove the _season off the end of the map zip file. I have this file in my folder now it works i have no errors.

First, this question has been asked over three times now. This thread is just a bit longer than 2 pages.. if you've only read one of them you would've figured it out by yourself. At least show some effort next time.

To fix this, either rename the map to FS19_MidwestHorizon.zip if you have file extensions visible, or to FS19_MidwestHorizon if you don't have them visible. Pay close attention to upper and lowercase characters too.

Thats the problem, cant log the trees but... Thing to do is go to one of the 'volume trees', any of them it doesn't matter, highlight it, go find one of the spruce_stage4's under the map, 'replace all' the volume trees with the spruce 'retaining user settings' and POOF! totally fixed, lets logging occur. This way the trees can stay and the map wont look wonky without them.

You can log the trees. You just have to use a chainsaw and skidder. If you trim the logs halfway decent the auto load trailers even work on them. It only takes about 9 or 10 logs to make a big load as well.

In fact logging in combination with a sawmill pays pretty well on this map. This is an $88,000 plus load. Helps to pay for that pretty Peterbilt.

What is the latest (corrected ?) version? Could the one that is on the download site be removed and the new one substituted?
I am not a modder, just a player for 6 or 7 years.

But that's the hard way, the chainsaw is a bit quirky at least for me.

If no more major changes are being made I'll probably just replace all the volume_tree 's with spruce, in GE, so I can use my nice shiny logging equipment.

ATTENTION:
  I have uploaded a fixed Midwest Horizons Seasons ready map with the sell points  showing up in menu.
 If you do not want to re upload and are comfortable with xml editing then here is the fix:
Code: [Select]
Change this:
<!--sell points-->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationElevator" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationElevator.xml" position="1786.593 96.974 1282.076" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- M.H. Coop -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationBales" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationBales.xml" position="-1949.027 97.319 1710.737" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- Bale sell -->
<item mapBoundId="gasStation" className="BuyingStationPlaceable" filename="data/placeables/mapUS/gasStation/gasStation.xml" position="1874.913 97.319 1070.045" rotation="0 0 0" />
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationVehicles" className="Workshop" filename="data/placeables/mapUS/sellingStationVehicles/sellingStationVehicles.xml" position="1861.817 98.996 862.213" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- Dealer -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationElevator2" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationElevator2.xml" position="-1203.576 99.377 1830.936" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Cooper Farm Grain -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationWool" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWool.xml" position="1911.797 97.319 1001.952" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- Wool -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationCotton" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationCotton.xml" position="1913.5 97.319 945.786" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Cotton -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationRanch" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationRanch.xml" position="1856.315 97.085 936" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- Milk -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationRanch2" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationRanch2.xml" position="1903.637 96.998 970.253" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Eggs -->
<item className="FarmhousePlaceable" filename="data/placeables/mapUS/farmBuildings/farmHouse.xml" position="-107.88 99.158 -514.295" rotation="0 0 0" defaultFarmProperty="true" farmId="1"/>
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationWood" className="WoodSellStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWood.xml" position="1936.562 97.319 -1839.207" rotation="0 0 0" />
    <item mapBoundId="sellingStationWoodChips" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWoodChips.xml" position="2014.454 97.319 -1857.721" rotation="0 0 0" />
</items>

To this:
<!--sell points-->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationElevator" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationElevator.xml" position="1786.593 96.974 1282.076" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- M.H. Coop -->

<item mapBoundId="sellingStationElevator2" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationElevator2.xml" position="-1203.576 99.377 1830.936" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Cooper Farm Grain -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationWool" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWool.xml" position="1911.797 97.319 1001.952" rotation="0 0 0" /> <!-- Wool -->
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationCotton" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationCotton.xml" position="1913.5 97.319 945.786" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Cotton -->

<item mapBoundId="sellingStationRanch2" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationRanch2.xml" position="1903.637 96.998 970.253" rotation="0 90 0" /> <!-- Eggs -->
<item className="FarmhousePlaceable" filename="data/placeables/mapUS/farmBuildings/farmHouse.xml" position="-107.88 99.158 -514.295" rotation="0 0 0" defaultFarmProperty="true" farmId="1"/>
<item mapBoundId="sellingStationWood" className="WoodSellStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWood.xml" position="1936.562 97.319 -1839.207" rotation="0 0 0" />
    <item mapBoundId="sellingStationWoodChips" className="SellingStationPlaceable" filename="$mapdir$/maps/placeables/sellingPoints/sellingStationWoodChips.xml" position="2014.454 97.319 -1857.721" rotation="0 0 0" />
</items>

Notice this :"$moddir$FS19_MidwestHorizon/maps/placeables/

becomes this: $mapdir$/maps/placeables/
This should correct your issues. A new game will probably be required.

once you rename a map file the game is still looking for that map file for your save game. That's why it said it have removed. if you are advance enough you can edit save game files to make it work with the new named map. I would just go with the topic that is posted below this one....  (n)

The map loads for me and then crashes. I suspect there is an issue with Seasons as the map does not display the seasons "welcome" message when the game starts. Once loading is complete, you can hit ESC and the map will show, but the toon just hovers and one must exit via the menu; though it the game has to be killed via task manager to actually get out of the game.

Have you tried the current uploaded Midwest Horizons. I just tried it loaded fine and played without issue.  I have over 3 GB of mods in my folder.
  Try loading with only the mods needed to play it. If you still have issues then post your log text so we can see what is going on.

I have a dumb question. Maybe I don't understand the reason for the snow mask or what Season's Ready means but what is the difference between this and the regular version. I'm getting snow on the highways and in all of the buildings. I ran through a couple of cycles with this map and a couple of cycles with the regular map and I don't see the differences. I do have the latest version downloaded from here.

I can see that the author did not paint a tip collision or snow mask. Although the tree leaves do change according to the season.

These are the errors I get:

Error: Running LUA method "update"
Seasons Error: Callback 'growth' is not registered with the density map scanner
Error: Running LUA method "update"

Looks like index values are nil for:
SeasonsGrowthFruitTypes.lua:73
SeasonsGrowthData:lua:587
SeasonsWeatherForecast:lua317

When a quit the map, there is a whole slew of errors with:

AchievementManager.lua(257): attempt to index local 'farm' (a nil value)
HUDElement.lua(216): attempt to index local 'overlay' (a nil value)

The only mods installed are

Seasons version 1.0.1.8 - beta
Seasons GEO: U.S Midwest version 2.0.0.0 (still doesn't work without this)

Both of the mods above run no problem on County Line Seasons. The map loads with no issues I can tell with no mods, but that doesn't mean much when you can't use seasons.

 Have you tried with seasons 1.0.1.0 ,the latest official release.
https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=137669&title=fs2019

Code: [Select]
Version 1.0.1.0:

- Fix issue where growth conflicts with basegame.
- Fixed economy history.
- Fixed issue with drought damage on new saves.
- Fixed issues in weather generation and weather forecast that could cause lag.
- Fixed the snow melting and falling. Snow toggle now removes all snow too.
- Improve grass system.
- Improved animal balancing and information.
- Improved building and US/DE map Seasons masks.

Using the 1.01.0 version of seasons appears to have worked. I guess the beta, even though newer, has some issues with it.

With the way Giants patches any more things get messed up pretty easily in my opinion. Glad you got it working.
