Thoughts on this Gaming Laptop
« on: August 08, 2018, 08:43:08 PM »
Have been absent from this forum for a couple months now. As some of you know who have helped me, I previous had a 2010 MacBook Pro that I was using to play FS, when FS17 came out it was freezing, crashing and other things while playing. It finally took a crap and I am looking for a new laptop. I love Macs but they just aren't up to gaming standard to play this great game we all love.

I was wondering what yall thought about this one: https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/razer-blade

I still would prefer a laptop as I do a lot of things out of town that I would like to have a personal computer for. If yall have any other sugggestion for a gaming laptop please let me know.

What other games do you play?  You need to look at what your gaming requirements are across all your games.

Check out xoticpc.com they have a lot of great laptops. I like Asus personally. There are some cheaper ones on there with the same specs

From everything I have read, that is a good laptop. But like 812farmer said, I think you could get a computer with better specs for the same price. With Razor, your paying extra for the name. I have an ASUS laptop(my second one) and built my desktop from with ASUS motherboard and GPU. I have never had any problems with them.

Take these 2 laptops. Close to the same specs, ASUS is $450 cheaper. The Razor is going to be smaller, thinner, and weigh less. The ASUS has an additional 1TB hard drive.

I just need it to last a while. My Mac lasted 9 years and was still current, got through engineering school and the first years of my job. My concern is just buying something cheap and having to buy another one sooner than I thought.

My first Asus laptop I got in 2009. Used it until I bought my new one last year. Still works just needed an upgrade. I built my desktop in 2012 and its still going strong. It has a Asus motherboard and an asus graphics card. Both the laptops and the computer parts were high end. I spent a lot of money on them but it has been worth it. I have had very good luck with them but I take care of them well. Keep them clean and make sure to stay off of questionable websites.... I guess you could say Im a Asus fanboys but I have had really got luck with them.
