Yes, great mod.

"Unit selection is done by pressing left-shift + left or right"

left or right what??

Also, on your commodities page, how did you get the name of crop under the crop symbol?

Thx
Arc

Sorry, left or right arrow keys. The name of the crop is something I'm adding in version 1.2.0.0. You will also see the crop name on the vehicle hud under the icon.

For whatever reason, when I click on the link I am unable to get to the mod. It simply tells me that "This download is not approved yet and you do not have permission to view it." Also, when I search for it or look under all the tabs I am unable to find it. Just curious if this is just me or what the reason is. Oh, if it matters, I did download this mod on my desktop, but I am away from home for the week and would like to have it on my laptop.

It may be because I just updated the information on here, and it takes a bit for downloads to be approved. When it appears on the download page under Farming Simulator 17 - Scripts, then it should be available again for download.

UnitConvert 1.2.0.0

http://americaneaglesmodding.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1665

UnitConvert allows Farming Simulator 17 to display custom units of measurement. The inner workings of the game are unchanged. UnitConvert only changes what you see.

The menu system works as follows: To open the menu, press left-alt + U. Once the menu is opened, you can navigate around it by using the arrow keys. To change menu pages, press left-ctrl + left or right arrow. Unit selection is done by pressing left-shift + left or right arrow. To synchronize all unit groups to the currently selected unit, press right-ctrl.

This version comes with a few new features, based on user requests. The first of these is mass factor. What this does is adjust the display weight of a fill type without changing in game physics. Using the special function key (right-ctrl by default), you can set the mass factor of all fill types to the currently highlighted value.

The next new feature is adjustable unit precision. This is simply the number of decimal places a unit will display.

Finally, UnitConvert now uses an internal fill type group system for deciding which unit to use in the case of an objects with multiple fill types (i.e. store capacity, animal food groups, etc). This works the same as fill categories did previously with the following changes:
  - A fill type can only belong to one fill type group.
  - Fill type group priority can be adjusted via the UnitConvert menu. To do this, press left-shift plus the up or down arrows while a group is highlighted.
  - Currently, groups for the default fill types are set internally. UnitConvert will detect new fill types and assign them to the most logical group based on its registration. Modders can override this assignment by adding a unitConvert.xml file to the base folder of their map or mod.

When UnitConvert comes across an object with multiple fill types, it will first look to see if all fill types are set to use the same unit of measurement. If so, the shared unit is displayed. When fill types are assigned different units of measurement, UnitConvert will use the unit assigned to the group with the highest priority.

As a side note, weights can now be used for object capacity. UnitConvert will make the calculation based on the heaviest fill type the object holds.

Summary of changes in version 1.2.0.0:
- Mass Factor can now be set via the UnitConvert menu.
- Unit precision can now be set via the UnitConvert menu.
- Fill categories have been replaced by fill type groups.
- Weights can be displayed in all cases (no more volume only rules).
- UnitConvert menu now scrolls, supporting large lists.
- Fill type names are now displayed on the prices screen.
- Fill type names are now displayed on the vehicle hud.
- Additional fill types are now shown on the prices screen.
- Modders can add a unitConvert.xml file to their mod allowing for additions (not overwrites).

Your custom settings are saved on the fly, and are universal. The settings file is located in your Farming Simulator profile directory in a file called unitConvert.xml. To reset your values, simply delete this file.

Further instructions can be found on my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/ThundRFSMods. Also, if you encounter any bugs or have any problems, you can message me over there or through the forums here. I check both regularly.

You mean when the menu closes it reverts, or when you close and restart FS17 it reverts? Could be an issue with the saved config. Are you getting any errors in the log?

Also, are you using the menu and things aren't sticking, or are you changing values inside of one of the config files?

Yep, I see the problem, it's a small piece of code I overlooked. I'll have a fix this afternoon after work. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

** Update: Actually it was a quick fix, just had to change a false to a true. Should be working now, go ahead and re-download :)
