Game Crashing
« on: February 26, 2012, 06:58:12 PM »
My game is starting to crash a lot now. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why its doing that. Is it the mods I'm using or what. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

You are probably over working your computer's memory with all the mods and maps you have. And also a lot of junk built up in your game folders from mods and maps.

I had the same problem, and I reinstalled my game and then upped the memory usage with the CFF explorer.

CFF tutorial here: http://www.ls-uk.info/forum/index.php?topic=54930.0

Has been working great ever since.

You can still empty out your mods folder some, delete unused savegames and whatnot.  I had some issues with bad allocation and game crashes (albeit with the windows version) and after removing most of the mods I wasn't using (maps especially, as these take up a LOT of space) I had almost no problems.  Usually, I keep my mods in another folder, separate from the game, then just add in which mods I'll be playing with.  This is a lot easier on your computer since when it runs the game, it is only using the mods that are in your mods folder at the time.

Thanks, so basically I just need the mods I'm using at the time in my mods folder and that will help the game out. Thanks a lot.
