2015 Map help

I decided to ditch a standard size map for a 4x map. So I found one and downloaded it. It has these errors when I open in GE. I tried looking at the i3d in notepad++ and all files seem to be in the right place and the files are in the proper folders and are there.

Are you editing your map on a G:, or is it on your C:? That's the only thing I can think of. It would stem from the map's creator coding it that way when he saved & released it.

I edit on the G which is my flash drive. So I have a couple of copies. The log say the same thing just c drive

Your terraindetail distance textures are mapped wrong. your map is trying to open each one of those files as a texture file for the terrain detail distance. You will have to open it in notepad++ or something like it and remap them to the proper files

only thing I can see is in the i3d in notepad++ is that the images are in dds form instead of png. Tried to change that but nothing happened still had the errors. Just wanting to get this cleared before I do anything else.

check this line under "foliagemultilayer"

The distanceMapIds probably have number that point to the texture fileIds that correspond to files it is showing as cannot find.
Change those to whatever fileId number for
"textures/foliage/cultivator_distance_diffuse.png" relativePath="true"/> is
"textures/foliage/acre_distance_diffuse.png" relativePath="true"/> then 3rd
"textures/foliage/cultivator_sprayed_distance_diffuse.png" relativePath="true"/> last
"textures/foliage/acre_sprayed_distance_diffuse.png" relativePath="true"/> and those errors should go away.
I had this problem with this map when I made one from it, took me couple of weeks to figure it out and correct it

I want to do the soil mod too with this map. Do I have to increase any file size for a 4x map

I went through the i3d in notepad++ and everything is in the right place with the right numbers and shaders looked at the material lines as well as the foliage layers and even went back through the folders and everything is there

Well that's what I thought I did to mine to fix it, but that was more than 6 months ago, and my getting old brain has absorbed lots more information since then, only thing else I can think to do is use the fileId numbers that it is trying to open and see where all they are, somewhere the number is in the wrong place and its trying to open the wrong file.

As for soil mod and a 4x map to work correctly you need to make your fruit_density and cultivator_density grle files in the map01 folder 8192x8192 and your fmcSoilMod_LayerA_density and fmcSoilMod_LayerB_density grle in the fmcSoilManagement folder 8192x8192 also. If you don't you will have lines of more advanced growth making nice squares in all of your fields,(been there, done that too)

Did you look at "distanceMapIds" for all fruits (most likely the error is with a multifruit) to see if the numbers correspond with the correct file id`s ?

You see this line: distanceMapIds="38;39;40;41;42;42;42;43;44".
The numbers have to correspond with the correct filenumber found in the file section at the very top in the I3D.
Let`s say this example is for wheat, the first number corresponds with "File fileId="38", which in this case is "acre_fine_distance_diffuse.png", this is the "rule" for everything but potatoes. The next number corresponds with "File fileId="39", which in this case is "textureFoliage/wheat/foliage_wheat_distance2_diffuse.png".
Then comes distance3, distance4, and so on, the equal numbers is because distance5 has to be repeated 3 times in order for you to have a correct viewing distance in the game.
Have a look at them, see if they are correct, as stated, the error is most likely in added multifruits or foliage layers.

I checked all that but will try again and see. I did add chopped straw and soybeans. Have to look at them too. But I had those errors before I added anything to the map. Just like with a mod I download I always clear out the mods folder and but the mod in this case the map and check for errors
