I thought of putting poplar in a field and release I don't know the first thing about it. Can someone help.

Hi jb3pc4sale,

I'm probably not the best one to answer, as I haven't done much with poplars either.

If you're asking how to establish them in the field, I used the tree planter, and filled it with a poplar pallet... and many hours later the field was done. Took a long time!

For harvest I used the forage harvester with the poplar header, which yielded wood chips... but that was all in FS '17. However, it appears to be similar in FS '19. Below is a tutorial video, if you're interested:
