Original Fruits

On a new map edit is it possible to replace or remove any of the original game fruits?

yes you can but it will take you longer to do that than just add new fruits. your best bet is to just add the fruits you want and just dont use the original fruits..

I see, I already have 16 fruits on the map but there are a couple of the original fruits that I never use and wondered if they could be replaced.

are you not wanting to go to a 31 or a 63 fruit map or just wanting not to use them?

Last I knew you could only have 16. I've tried installing more fruits but it doesn't seem to let me.

Well in order to have more than 15 fruits, you need to change a few numbers in the i3d. This tut from sniper will explain it better than I could, but it does work in 2013 incase your wondering.

Yeah after your last post I did some searching and found a few maps with far more fruits than what I have so I know its possible. I just didn't know that it was possible until you mentioned it.
I will check out the tut when I get some time.

it's really easy to do, the aggravating part is fixing the fruit diffuses to work the way 13 wants them set up. somewhere on one of my drives I do have a map with 28 0r 32 fruits in it. Got tired of staring at Paint.net lol

I had a quick look at that tut. I am a bit confused by it, do those number need to be changed on ALL the FoliageSubLayer entries or just to the new entries that go above 15 fruits?

I must have done something wrong this time but not sure what. I installed oat, oat_windrow, sunflower, soybean, alfalfa and alfalfa_windrow with no issues or errors.

I followed this tut and installed corn, corn_windrow and sorghum and now I have these errors in GE. In game the fruits work fine except now there is no distance textures for soybean, corn or sorghum.
They all have the grass texture layer when planted and there is no blue growth stages for either corn or sorghum on the fruit map in game.

I'm not sure why it can't load the fruit huds now either since all of the huds are in the huds file located exactly where the path says.

Apparently, you've somehow managed to change the distanceMapIds for the fruits in question. As to the huds issue, when you open the folderfor your map, you then open the maps folder and there is your huds folder or is the huds folder outside the maps folder?

I found the problem with the huds issue. I copied my WIP map file and renamed it testMap for figuring out how to add more fruits. I just forgot to edit the paths in the SampleModMap.lua

I am still trying to find the problem with the distance issue.
