Find A Mod - Attention, Please read before Posting!
« on: December 08, 2013, 11:19:17 AM »
Please do not start a new topic when looking for a certain mod. We have created and maintain a running "Find a Mod" topic for each version of the game. Simply open the existing topic and select reply and then post your "looking for" request. Any new "find a mod" topics will be merged into the existing or may be deleted.

The "FS13 Find a Mod" topic is stickied at the top of this section and located here:

When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is difficult only for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.

Those providing DropBox links to mods that are being requested in the forum publicly instead of via a PM should consider not doing so.

While it is great that you are providing access to a requested mod for someone, it may be against the creators wishes that it is being released to the general public instead of just the person requesting it. Did you get permission from the creators first? It's no different than uploading them to the site.

This completely goes against the generally practiced rule of requiring permission of a mod maker in order to release their mod and providing credit.

Providing a private link publicly opens the door for those individuals that we often complain about who take other's mods and upload them to other mod sites without credits or permissions. For all we know the guy from ModHub will download this and it will be all over the place tomorrow. Additionally the creator may have only wanted them distributed on certain forums.

The purpose of this topic is not to redistribute private mods or mods only found on a certain single site. It's purpose is to help others find publicly available mods by providing direction of where to find it, not to create a new downloads page or a new download link.

Please think before posting links.
* Does the mod maker want the mod distributed publicly?
* Is it a publicly available mod?
* Do I have permission to release if it is not my mod?

Please PM a moderator or admin with any questions you may have.
