location of mod folder in FS17

I have downloaded a new map from this website, and can't find the mod folder for FS17 
I did download some of the Giant mods first.  Then wanted a different map from the US.  I feel kind of stupid, as I have done this for 2013, and 2015.  But now can't find how and where to put mods in FS 17

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks, Ron

Don't ever feel stupid for asking a question! Questions are to be asked, else we wouldn't need questions 

Now, the mod folder location should be the same location as FS13 and FS15. By default it's C:\Users\<yournamehere>\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2017\mods. The easy way is to just open explorer and click 'My Documents' in the left pane. Then click 'My Games' > 'FarmingSimulator2017' > 'mods'.

* sidenote: It is 'C:\' by default, but you can change this to whatever disk your Windows is running on.

If you won't have the mods folder you can create a new folder and call it 'mods'. Make sure your mod is in a .zip format, else the game won't recognize it.

Good on all points except it doesn't have to be zipped to use it.

True! When modding it might be useful to keep it in a folder instead of a .zip file. When playing MP a zip file is required.
