Changed The Giants Editor Shapes to notepad on accident

Well this is embarrassing, i accidentally clicked notepad for the ids shapes file, im not sure what it called but its for Gaints Editor... I was wondering how to switch it back to what it originally was.. Thanks

Always keep a back up version when editing a map or mod... so then  you can easily pull files out of the original.

Yeah, it did it for every single mod tho....its the i3d shapes file, im not sure what it was called, but i accidentally switched it to notepad, and just wondered if there was a way of switching it back...

Don't worry with the shapes file that much as long as your i3d file is stlll set to open default with giants editor.

To change right click the file then select propertys then opens with. Then select the program (browse) which you wish to open with.

The shape file is encryption which you wouldn't need to read anyway as long the path to the remains correct in the i3d the model should open in ge no matter what the shapes file is set to open with "notepad" etc.

can you right click then clicks open with? or is that only for zip files?

I accidentally associated a file type a while ago and had an issue trying to make it open correctly.  I found this executable program online (http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/unassociate-file-types-windows-7-vista/) that allows you to un-associate a certain file type.  Works well.

Here is a pic of the program.
