Notepad++ and XML issue.

I have had this issue for a couple of months while editing the xml in FS17. The issue is I am trying to add more capacity to a trailer, combine and such. I extract the folder,then open the xml in notepad++ like I have dozens of times. The issue is when I go to save. I get a window that says the file is already oped in notepad++.

I have uninstalled and installed in a couple of times.
OS windows 10.
